This is Josh Cox. I’m one of the youth adult leaders sharing my recap of today’s events.
After a long day of flying from Baltimore to Dallas, then from Dallas to Guatemala City with a slight delay due to plane maintenance issues, we arrived in Guatemala.
It’s almost time! After months of anticipation, planning, and meetings, the big day is nearly here. Tomorrow, the youth delegation will travel to Guatemala for a week long partnership trip.
Westminster Presbyterian Church has a strong prayer partnership with our brothers and sisters in Guatemala. To date, 30 women and 35 youth have prayer partners – and 15 men will be matched with partners this summer. So what is a “prayer partnership?”
In late June, 15 members of Westminster will travel to the Western Highlands of Guatemala for a week-long intercultural encounter. The group will consist of nine Senior High youth, two young adult leaders (Josh Cox and Chris Hickey), and four adult leaders
(Susan Moseley, Cathy Higgins, Carrie Saathoff , and Mike Gnade, Sr.).
You may have noticed that we are calling this a “partnership” trip, not a “mission” trip, and for good reason.
